Standard side

Christmas gift for Birgitte, space shuttle cryptex with 4 diamonds.
This skull is engraved in pure silver with the aid of a Deckel GK21 engraving machine. Engraving the letters was done on the Deckel G1L.
The crowns holding the gems are also made in pure silver.
From left to right is a blue sapphire, orange zirkon, pale opal and green sapphire.
Made for my daughter Vilde 2012.
Today 200215, I finished this cryptex for my youngest daughter Johanne. The plan was to have it done by Johanne’s confirmation in May 2014. All parts were made prior to May 2014 and the cryptex is gold-plated. The only parts that were missing were the silver crowns for the jewels and a little silver heart that Johanne specifically ordered for her cryptex.
Crowns for the stones were made in pure silver from an 8 mm silver bar.
All jewels were found by the whole family when we visited Australia in 2010, and the best 7 stones were cut by the local gem cutter at the city of Sapphire, Queensland. We also found opals in Coober Pedy, South Australia, but the opals for the cryptex were purchased also in Coober Pedy.
The stones really show off nice when the light conditions are perfect. The opal is scattered with nice blue and green colors.
From left to right: Zircon, silver heart, probably another zircon, opal and a blue Sapphire.
Engraving letters were made with a Deckel G1L engraving machine

My son manged to get his hands on Schaublin 135. He requires a wiring diagram that is not cut off like on many of the online manuals.
